Razer high-tech mouth mask to appear in Q4 of 2021

Project Hazel, Razer’s high-tech face mask, is apparently slated for the fourth quarter of 2021. The device was unveiled as a concept product at CES 2021 at the beginning of this year, but it now seems to be moving towards mass production.
Many of Razer’s great CES concepts are mainly ‘ for the show’ — and that’s how Project Hazel was thought. The unveiling of the idea in January this year was particularly appropriate, but it also dripped with Razer’s superlative. The mask was not only smart and sterile; it’s also rich in built-in microphones, speakers and, how could it be otherwise, RGB lighting.

In the case of Project Hazel, Razer chairman Min-Liang Tan underlined almost two months later that the manufacturer is still into production. At the time, there was no talk about prices or release dates.

It now seems that things are moving forward. On Twitter, Razer hints at a newsletter, which will keep interested parties informed of where and when the Hazel masks are available. A price indication is not forthcoming for the time being, but the reporting clearly speaks of a launch in the fourth quarter of this year.

The renewed Project Hazel web page does show some notable changes. The mouth mask still promises things such as ventilation to N95 standard, voice amplification and RGB lighting, but much of the original design is now equipped with a

‘ Concept Only’ label. It seems that Razer had to make some changes before the mass production. The newer footage also doesn’t show a new rendering of the Project Hazel storage box. Initially, this case would wirelessly charge the Razer face mask and sterilize it with UV light.
