Rally de Portugal: Ott Tänak leads on the first day, Armindo Araújo best Portuguese

First day of the Rally of Portugal with lots of entertainment and several public areas sold out.

The best at the end of the day and after the Lousada Super Special, it was Ott Tänak in Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC who had the time of 1: 22: 35.0

The podium of the day follows with Elfyn Evans, in Toyota Yaris WRC at 6 tenths of the leader and Dani Sordo in Hyundai i20 Coupé WRC at 9 tenths.

The leader of the world rally championship, Sebastian Ogier, finishes the first day in the fifth position, after recovering from several bad luck. All the drivers complained about tires and punctures.

The best Portuguese of the day was Armindo Araújo , in Skoda Fabia R5 Evo that ends the day in 19th place overall, followed by Bernardo Sousa also in Skoda Fabia.
