Railway police step up security measures of Ashura

LAHORE:

According to the instructions of Inspector General (IG) Rao Sardar Ali, Railway Police tightened security measures of Imambargi located near railway stations and mosques on platforms for solving security problems in Ashura.

These security measures are implemented in all divisions. of Pakistani Railways.

men and women commandos were deployed at the entrance and exit points of railway stations and CCTV cameras are used for surveillance on suspicious persons and abandoned products on platforms. Furthermore, women commandos were sent to check the luggage of women passengers and children through metal detectors.

Railway Police Department (SHO) officer Irfan Ashraf said no one entrance to the stations from the exit is allowed points and unnecessary routes leading to stations and platforms also was closed.

The SHO stated that the police personnel will be deployed on these routes.

The employee said that the security service of Imambargi and the colonies around the stations have been enlarged and visitors will only be allowed to pass through after a thorough search.

I. G. Ali said that adequate security measures were made on railway platforms and security of mosques on the platforms and imambargs around the stations were enlarged.

He said that safety of passengers first priority, therefore strict measures have been taken made at stations and platforms.

IG also urged passengers to be vigilant on their surroundings and report any suspicious individuals or abandoned items to the proposals of the police on duty in in a timely manner.
