ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on He had a telephone conversation on Tuesday with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi and discussed the situation in Crisis in Afghanistan, Ukraine and other issues of Mutual interest.

He expressed satisfaction on high quality development of CPEC and the acceleration of industrial transfer and investments in Pakistan.
Qureshi expressed Pakistan’s concern over the situation in Ukraine and stressed the need for a diplomatic solution in compliance with relevant multilateral agreements, international law and regulations of the Charter of the United Nations. He also shared Pakistan’s concerns over the negative economic consequences for developing countries resulting from rising fuel and food costs and outages of supply chains.
Qureshi informed FM Wang Yi of his contact with foreign ministers of Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Hungary, Russia and the High Representative of the European Union.
Maintain the principled position on respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states, he had called Pakistan for de-escalation and resolution of disputes through dialogue and diplomacy.
FM Qureshi expressed hope that the talks between Russia and Ukraine will be successful in find a diplomatic solution.
The two foreign ministers discussed the continuing efforts for pace and stability in Afghanistan and stressed the need for the international community to support humanitarian assistance for the afghan people.
