LAHORE: Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) decides to nominate MPA and opposition leader in Punjab Assembly Sibtein Khan for slot of speaker of assembly that replaces Parvez Elahi.
According to sources, decision was made PTI Chairman Imran Khan and also was retransmitted elected CM Punjab Parvez Elahi, who remained last speaker of Assembly.
“Two made consultation on names during the meeting in Bani Gala today and agreed on title of Sibtein Khan, they said.
In addition, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) also I decided move motion of no confidence against Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Assembly Dost Muhammad Mazari.
Sources say the names of Vasik Qayyum and Malik Taymur are considered for position of PA deputy speaker slot.
It was also reported that several names are being considered for position of Speaker of the Punjab Assembly, including Mian Mehmudur Rashid, Aslam Iqbal, Zein Qureshi and Usman Bazdar.
