ISLAMABAD: Leadership of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) office in Sindh on On Thursday, an emergency meeting was held to discuss new date for power show in Karachi after 19 August was postponed due to heavy rains, according to ARY News.
According to the source, the provincial leadership of PTI has decided to conduct public rally in Karachi on August 26, two days before the local government (LG) Polls in Karachi.
PTI Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan will speak at the rally, the sources say, adding that public rally will be organized in Bagh-e Jinnah is located opposite Mazar Quaid.
PTI has also postponed this is public meeting for consideration party chairman Imran Khan in Hyderabad on August 20th.
Current flood situation in Hyderabad forced PTI leadership to postpone rally in in city.
According to the Met Office, Hyderabad received 204 mm of precipitation in last 60 hours which included a destructive rain spell of 92 mm for 12 hours on 18 August.
Previously, in the day it became known that heavy rains also forced party change venue of it’s August 19 public meeting in Karachi to which he will turn party Chairman Imran Khan.
PTI decided to hold public gathering in Shahra-i-Kaidin on August 19. However, sources said that party I decided against holding a rally ahead of local government elections and by-elections on seats in the National Assembly.
