Prioritizing Salary: Four-Month Quota Budget Excluding New Projects

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government issued directives to all administrative departments urging them to refrain from including new development projects in forthcoming budget And instead give priority to payment of salary up to project employees.

KP Overseer government plans an exemplary budget of 30 billion rupees to be presented for four-month period leading up To general elections. In correspondence sent to all departments of planning and development (P&D) stressed that the upcoming development budget for fiscal year 2023-24 will not include any new projects.

Moreover, a significant part of funds will be allocated to projects that in V final stages of completion.

The P&D further emphasizes that priority will be given to projects that are covered by aid agencies and public sector development programs ensuring smooth distribution of facilities. In addition, the score of approved developmental programs from various departments are scheduled to take place during the meeting on Monday.
