Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif called an emergency meeting on Tuesday with leading economists to discuss in detail current difficult economic situation facing the country.
The Prime Minister called on economists to help in important decisions relating to economic and financial measures.
Prime Minister Shehbaz will be informed on current financial situation of country and receive information about the deficit and current Account.
Six days work week
Shortly after taking responsibility of Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Shahbaz announced a six-day work week for government offices. Offices will no longer have two days off.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif today reached prime ministers office at 8 am, go ahead of official office hours announced turn in Working hours of government offices. Offices must now start their day at 8 am instead of 10 a.m.
The Prime Minister issued an order for implementation of his announcements made in National Assembly yesterday, especially public help programs.
In addition, Prime Minister Shehbaz gave strict instructions to control shops during Ramadan to ensure supplies of quality and affordable product. “Negligence will not be tolerated,” the prime minister said.
The order was also published for immediate implementation for 10% increase in pension and raising the minimum wage to Rs 25,000.
During his presentation to the staff prime minister’s office Shahbaz Sharif asked them to “prepare to serve people; there will be no more time in doing so”.
The Prime Minister stressed that honesty, openness, diligence and hard work were his government’s guidelines.
Shahbaz Sharif was elected like 23rd prime minister of Pakistan, celebrating his return to power like a premiere, top of his tireless efforts against in former government.
PML-N achieved the coveted post after 174 deputies voted in Shehbaz’s favor that the Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf MNA boycotted the elections.

“Our focus is on bringing as much relief as possible to all Pakistanis, fighting high inflation and starting a stagnation economy. Together we will make Pakistan great nation, inshaAllah. Pakistan Zindabad,” he said.
In his maiden address as prime minister in National Assembly, Shahbaz announced increase in wages, pensions and minimum wages for workers.
Prime Minister Shehbaz also said PTI-led government left countries economy in rags with in current the account deficit and other economic indicators are “worsening”.
