KARACHI: Candidates of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) won Seven out of eleven union council seats (UC) in local government (LG) additional polls in Karachi, while Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) received four seats.
According to unofficial results announced received on Monday, Israr Ahmed of PPP was elected chairman of UC-2 Korangi, receiving 2647 votes while the JI candidate received 1804 votes and stayed second.
Abdul Qadeer of PPP won seat at UC-2 Lyari Town, gaining 3,243 votes. PPP candidate Arshad Khan won in UC-8 Western constituency with 2,664 votes. votes while PTI candidate Sahir Hussain received 1380 votes and stayed second.
Faisal Naseem of JI won seat in UC-6 in Nazimabad North from Central District, receiving 4055 votesAbid Shah of PPP remained second by providing 1,169 votes.
Muhammad Ayub of JI was elected chairman of UC-8 Landhi Town, receiving 1695 votes while Asim Khan of PTI stayed second received 826 votes.
According to the unofficial result, candidate JI emerged victorious from UC-3 Korangi with 3412 votes while the PML-N candidate remained second after receiving 2544 votes.
Muhammad Arif of PPP won location UC-2 Keamari, capturing 3009 votes while Irshad Ahmed of came PTI second received 1086 votes.
Nur Islam of JI emerged victorious from UC-2 District West with 4778 votes while Muhammad Alim of PPP received 3571 votes and stayed second.
Muhammad Amir of PPP won Seat in UC-4 District Central New Karachi, receiving 2244 seats votes and Usman Ulla of JI came second receiving 1,813 votes.
Shahzeb Murtaza of PPP has been announced winner from UC-13 District Central New Karachi after he received 5779 votes while Rafi Hussain of JI stayed second getting 1,156 votes.
