Porsche Introduces the 2024 Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid

Porsche has unveiled its most powerful Cayenne variant yet, the 2024 Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid. This high-performance crossover and coupe duo will be available in the second quarter of next year.

The starting price for the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid crossover is $148,550, while the coupe version starts at $153,050. Both prices include shipping. The Cayenne is Porsche’s second-best-selling model, following the Macan compact crossover.

The 2024 Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid features significant updates, including changes to the powertrain, chassis, design, and in-car technology. This midcycle refresh is expected to be the last version with a combustion engine, as production is anticipated to end in early 2029.

Porsche aims to combine sports car performance with the practicality of a crossover in the latest Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid. With a 0-to-60 mph acceleration of 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 183 mph, this electrified variant is a true powerhouse.

The Turbo E-Hybrid is equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine combined with an electric motor, delivering an impressive 729 hp. This is an increase of 59 hp compared to its predecessor, the Turbo S E-Hybrid.

In comparison, the standard Cayenne with a V6 engine offers 348 hp, while the V8 S produces 468 hp and the Turbo GT delivers 650 hp. The Turbo E-Hybrid is powered by a 25.9-kilowatt-hour battery located below the trunk.

Porsche has also enhanced the Cayenne’s suspension system, with the Turbo E-Hybrid models featuring an adaptive air suspension system with new two-chamber, two-valve technology as standard. This allows for separate adjustments of compression and rebound settings, improving both comfort and handling. The suspension system also reduces dive and squat motions during acceleration and braking.

Both the crossover and coupe versions of the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid feature a Turbo-specific front fascia with larger air intakes and black air blades. The wheel arches and lower rear fascia are painted in body color, giving the vehicle a sporty appearance. Model-specific accents include brushed aluminum dual-exhaust tailpipes and red brake calipers.

Inside the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid, the dashboard and doors feature aluminum trim, while the roof liner is made of Race-Tex material, creating a sporty ambiance. Standard equipment includes a heated GT Sport steering wheel and 18-way adjustable leather sport seats.
