ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) made a forecast more heavy rains in Sindh, Balochistan and South Punjab from 14 to 18 August in conditions of strong monsoon activity.
PMD reported depression developed in Arabian Sea, which is probably move west along the Makran coast. Concerning weather system monsoon currents constantly penetrate in southern parts of country.
Another low pressure (LPA) is likely to approach Sindh. on August 16th.

Rain-wind/thunderstorm with several heavy falls expected in Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir from 14 to 16 August. with random spaces.
Widespread rain-wind/thunderstorm with scattered heavy and very heavy falls expected in Sindh and Balochistan from 16 to 18 August. with random spaces.
O possible impact, met office said heavy rains could flood cities in Karachi, Thatta, Badin, Hyderabad, Dadu, Jamshoro, Sukkur, Larkana, Shahid Benazirabad and Mirpurkhas from 14 to 18 August.
Flash flood expected in Killa Saifulla, Loralai, Barkhan, Kohlu, Mosa Khel, Sherani, Sibbi, Bolan, Kalat, Khuzdar, Lasbela, Avaran, Turbat, Panjgur, Pasni, Jivani, Ormara, Gwadar and mountain streams of Dera Ghazi Khan during the forecast period from 14 to 18 August.
Heavy rains can flood cities in Rawalpindi/Islamabad, Peshawar, Nowshera, Mardan, Faisalabad, Lahore and Gujranwala from August 14 (night) to August 16.
Flash flood expected in local nulls of Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Shakargarh, Sialkot, Narowal, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Dir, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Bannu and Kashmir on 15 and 16 August.
Precipitation may trigger landslides in Kashmir, hill country of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ghaliyat, Murri, Chilyas, Diamir, Gilgit, Hunza, Astore, Gizer and Skardu during the forecast period.
Fishermen are recommended remain more cautiously from 16-18 August.
