The Chinese e-commerce platform Pinduoduo is still largely unknown in Europe. The company, which was founded in 2015 by former Google employee Colin Huang and now has more than 800 million customers, has overtaken the much better-known trading platform Alibaba and is shaking up the market in China with a large merchandise volume of 256 billion US dollars.
