The Constitution (Scheduled Castes and Tribes) Act (Second Amendment) Bill 2022 has been passed in lok sabha on Friday. The bill aims to include certain tribal communities in The list of Scheduled Tribes in Four newly created regions in Uttar Pradesh. The Minister of Tribal Affairs, Arjun Munda, said the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) (Amendment) Bill, 2022 seeks to include the communities of Gond, Doria, Nayak, Ujha, Bhatari and Rajund who live in in provinces of St. Kabir Nagar, Kushinagar, Chandaoli and St. Ravidas Nagar in The list of Scheduled Tribes in the state.
