Fawad Chaudhry, leader of the Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaaf movement, was arrested. in guardianship of Islamabad Police, Lahore High Court has been informed, Dawn reported.
Chaudhry was arrested on Wednesday after FIR registration against his election commission of Pakistan for “incitement to violence against constitutional institution” and threatening the electoral body of the members and their families.
Earlier, the court requested the whereabouts of the leader of the Pakistani opposition and summoned the police chiefs of Punjab and Islamabad.
