Pakistan concerned India’s manipulations of Twitter platform

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan expresses serious concern from US and India media reports that Indian government tried to break into the security system system of Twitter.

Ministry of Foreign Ministry spokesman said in a media statement: “Pakistan seriously concerned through news originating from India and USA media what an indian government tried to break into the security system system of outstanding social media the Twitter platform by forcing it to hire an Indian “agent/representative”.

According to media reports that it has arrived up during a Twitter briefing for the Parliamentary Standing Committee of India on Information and technology where court testimony made in USA former Twitter employee we also discussed.

Unfortunately, a large number of Twitter handles in particular those belonging to Kashmiri political leaders and media face, keep going remain blocked due to unfounded legal objections from India.

Only last month, Pakistan also registered his strong protest with Indian government over blocking of access to content of multiple Twitter handles of diplomatic missions of Pakistan, and national TV presenter of Radio Pakistan.

Pakistan deplores India’s blatant insults of state power and strong hand tactics manipulate and force- to regulate the Internet sphere.

These actions are not only against international standards, obligations, norms and framework of flow of information but also reflect disturbing pace of reduction space for pluralistic voices and deterrence of fundamental freedoms in India.”

Pakistan also urged India to lift lockdown immediately of Twitter accounts of diplomatic missions and Radio Pakistan to adhere to established international norms and standards of freedom of expression supported by the United Nations (UN) and refrain from using subterfuge to control global Internet domain, he concluded.
