ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia expressed their desire to further strengthen the long-standing ties between the two countries, which are based on common religion, common values and culture.
This was discussed in a meeting between President Dr. Arif Alvi and the Saudi Ambassador. in Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki as President.
President Alvi said Pakistan attaches great importance to its ties with Saudi Arabia, which has always supported Pakistan in difficult times.
He said both countries achieved significant convergence on number of regional and global questions.
The President called need further development of strategic and broad partnerships with Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in different areas of mutual interest.
Further strengthening of commercial ties and encouragement of entrepreneurs and chambers was emphasized. of commerce of both countries interact regularly to enhance bilateral trade connections.
President Alvi also emphasized that over 2 million Pakistani diaspora in Saudi Arabia was playing significant role in in progress and development of both fraternal countries.
He also asked the Ambassador to convey warm greetings to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia and shared people of pakistan pray for his good health and long life.
