Pakistan and Indonesia agree to expand bilateral cooperation in various fields

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Indonesia agree on number of specific proposals for promoting bilateral trade and investments, expansion of cooperation in health education, science as well as technology sectors.

agreements to this effect came during the meeting of Third Bilateral Consultative Forum between Pakistan and Indonesia, held in Bali.

The parties discussed the whole spectrum of Pakistani-Indonesian relations, and regional and multilateral issues of common interest.

They expressed their satisfaction over pulse in bilateral cooperation in recent years and decided to further expand cooperation in political, economic, defense and security.

It was also agreed to strengthen bilateral interaction in multilateral forums, including the UN, OIC, ARF, D-8 and ASEM.

The parties exchanged views on important regional and global developments, including emerging challenges in respective regions.

Pakistan side drew attention to the deteriorating human rights situation in Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir by India and its aftermath for peace and security in South Asia.

Both sides reaffirmed their principled position on in issue of Palestine and support for peace and stability in Afghanistan.
