The popular augmented reality iPhone game Pokémon Go was developed by Niantic. The same company is working on developing a comparable augmented reality product for the Monster Hunter franchise published by Capcom. Those who are not familiar with Monster Hunter should know that it is a roleplaying game in which the objective is to work together with other players to take down enormous creatures and collect their components to craft weapons and armor.
“Monster Hunter Now” is a game jointly being developed by Niantic and Capcom, and its release is scheduled for September 2023. Monster Hunter Now will, much like Pokémon Go, require users to venture out into the real world to locate and engage augmented reality monsters.

Monster Hunter staples such as Rathalos, Pukei-Pukei, and Great Izuchi, among others, will be dispersed worldwide. It will be up to players to seek them out and capture them. Using the camera on the iPhone, the players may observe the monsters in their surroundings, and they can collaborate with other players to defeat the creatures. You’ll be able to encounter monsters while on a stroll and take them on in your backyard, thanks to the items in the game that let you lure them to various spots.
It will be possible to obtain the monsters’ components to craft improved weapons, armor, potions, and other accessories. These components can be collected. The game will use the familiar weaponry and assault strategies from previous titles. There will be choices for completing objectives to advance. Palico will be available to Hunters as a companion.

According to Niantic, Monster Hunter Now will be developed so that “everyone can enjoy it at their own pace.” As a result, the game should be enjoyable for players who are familiar with the Monster Hunter franchise as well as those who are unfamiliar with it.
Capcom and Niantic are collecting signups for a closed beta test scheduled to begin on April 25. The game is scheduled to be released in September 2023. Access to the closed beta test will be made available to around 10,000 people, and testers who have been invited will be notified through email.
