New Logistics Zone Opened at Islamic Port of Jeddah

The Saudi Ports Authority has announced the opening of a new logistics zone at the Islamic Port of Jeddah in collaboration with LogiPoint. The new zone covers an area of 72,000 sq. m. and has an investment value of 150 million rials.

The new logistics zone provides integrated logistics solutions and value-added services for all types of goods, including medical supplies and medicines, as well as chilled and frozen goods.

Services for E-commerce Companies

The region will work to provide services to e-commerce companies, providing them with advanced and reliable technological support in addition to the integrated information technology system and clean energy solutions in line with the strategic national plans for environmental conservation.

Refrigeration Services

The refrigeration services provided by the region contribute to the expansion and upgrading of logistics services and refrigeration supply chains at the Islamic Port of Jeddah, as well as confirming its competitive advantage in the top 10 ports in the world.

Latest Security Equipment and Systems

The area is equipped with the latest security equipment and systems, as well as international standards to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to a minimum, in line with the goals of the Saudi Green Initiative.

Strategic Plans

The opening of this region is in line with the strategic plans prepared by Mawani in collaboration with its national and international strategic partners to stimulate the logistics and maritime services industry to achieve the goals of the national strategy for transport and logistics services, strengthening the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics hub and hub linking three continents.
