Interior Minister Rana Sanaulla on Wednesday said meeting on national security, involving civil and military management decided that negotiations with banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) will only be carried out under framework of Constitution.
He made statement at a press conference after the meeting in Islamabad, and said it also decided that in-camera briefing will be held on case and then prime minister will inform parliament.
“Negotiation [with the TTP] will be accepted forward under the direction of of parliament”Sanaulla added.
Prohibited TTP on 2 June announced “indefinite ceasefire” in view of “significant progress” made in negotiation with Pakistani government during round of meetings in Kabul.
