ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League – Supreme Leader Nawaz (PML-N) Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday urged the parliament to assert its supremacy following the recent Punjab vote verdict by the Supreme Court, which it said effectively “disabled the legislature by making it superfluous.”
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday in London, Sharif claimed that survival of the country depended on force of its democratic institutions, and criticized the ongoing “drama” of crowding out elected government.
According to Sharif, current sentence in the Punjab election case was allegedly give benefit forone pampered man, disabling the state.
