There are pictures that cannot be assigned at first. Wild patterns and shapes, gray on gray. It could be recordings from the ocean floor, from the canyons of the Rocky Mountains or is it smeared with coal from Stone Age caves in southern France? Wrong, they are worth seeing photos of the surface of Mars, the only planet in our solar system where scientists see at least the theoretical possibility that an atmosphere or a life can flourish.

Photos show different landscapes
The leading space organization shared three images showing their Mars rover Reconnaissance had shot. The different facets of Mars can be seen in the pictures. They show the geological nature of the planet in a fascinating way.
According to Nasa, the first picture shows a layered rock formation in Jiji -Crater can be seen, which has been eroded in step-like layers. The second photo shows a unique polar dune field during the northern spring. Here are some interesting patterns. The last image shows the ice cover spreading over the south pole of the planet.
Under this ice cover there were water-containing lakes suspected that could even serve as a habitat for microbes. After a detailed examination of the data, however, it turned out that these are probably lakes made of clay. But no matter whether clay or water, it always looks cool on Mars.
