MotoGP Italian GP: Moto3 rider hospitalized in “serious condition”

Jason Dupasquier was transported to hospital by helicopter

Jason Dupasquier, the Moto3 rider who suffered a big accident this Saturday in qualifying for the GP from Italy was hospitalized in “serious condition” with several traumas.

The Swiss pilot of Portuguese descent was badly treated in the accident that marked the end of the Moto3 Q3 also involving the Japanese Ayumu Sasaki and Spanish Jeremy Alcoba.

Dupasquier was rendered inanimate on the Mugello track and was medically assisted on the spot for a long time before being transported by helicopter to a hospital in Florence.

“The patient was transferred to the Careggi Hospital trauma center, he has multiple traumas and is in serious condition”, reports the «24 Heures» according to information provided to the AFP by a medical source.

The same source said he did not have ” any er information” about a possible surgical intervention performed on the 19-year-old pilot, which was reported as it has already been done.

Japanese Sasaki and Spaniard Alcoba left the accident without injuries.
