Nakagami was fastest in Jerez this Thursday
MotoGP tests for the next season started this Thursday and Miguel Oliveira started for 2022 with the 17th time of this first day.
The first day of the first battery of tests already preparing the new season and already counting with the ‘rookies’ of next year was led in the time sheet by Takaaki Nakagami by making the best lap of the Circuito de Jerez in 1m37.313s.
Miguel Oliveira achieved his best time with 1m38,312 in the 61st of 74 laps he ran, 0.999s behind the Japanese LCR Honda and the 0.226s from his KTM teammate Brad Binder.
The day was full of work with 27 riders on track out of the 29 present at the Spanish circuit. Closest to Nakagami was Johann Zarco, at 0.043s. The world champion, Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha), made the ninth time, 0.707s behind the Japanese.
