LAHORE:
The Islamabad High Court (IAC) noted that law enforcement agencies and their officials systematically violate fundamental rights by abusing their powers, and thereby undermine rule of law.
Court also said that arrest or imprisonment of member of parliament in absence of good reasons will obviously not be justified, since allows voters remain unrepresented and thus their rights are violated.
“It has therefore been decided that allowing voters to remain unrepresented violates their constitutional rights.” says an eight-page written order issued by Chief Justice Atar Minallah regarding protection of PTI MNA Shirin Mazari.
Saturday Mazar, senior PTI leader and former human rights minister was ill-treated and arrested in outside her home in Islamabad over possession and transfer case of Earth.
Her daughter, lawyer Imaan Zainab Mazar-i-Khazir, tweeted that the male police “beat” and took her away mother far.

Imaan later filed a petition in IHC against in arrest. Chief Justice Athar Minalla ordered the authorities concerned produce former minister before the court.
Officials in order who appeared before the court, could not substantiate arrest. He declared in in past there have been several cases of allowing voters to remain unrepresented, depriving parliamentarians of their right to freedom.
The court stated that detention/arrest of Dr. Mazari was, at first glance, an abuse of power through public officials, arbitrary, illegal and illegal and for except for good reasons.
