Counting down for the presentation of the new SUV, Italian brand bears the name Grecale on the sail of its competition trimaran.
Maserati started the countdown for the public presentation of his new SUV, named Grecale (see here), to take place next November, with the hoisting of a new sail on his trimaran.
The Maserati Multi 70, that’s how the vessel is called, now it has a sail in which the Grecale inscription appears in large dimensions, thus creating greater symbolism around the fact that the Italian brand chooses wind names to name its cars.
The new Grecale, whose “spy photos” we show here, an SUV that will be positioned below the Levante, follows the tradition started in 1963 with the model Mistral and later with the models Ghibli, Bora, Merak and Khamsin, as its name comes from a strong wind from the northeast of the Mediterranean.
As soon as the new mainsail was hoisted and the name Grecale appeared, Milan’s original record navigator Giovanni Soldini and his crew became standard bearers of a new era in Maserati.
Carlos Tavares, CEO from Stellantis, tried the Maserati Grecale earlier this year
O The goal of the trident brand is now to take the Grecale name to various parts of the world, through the participation of the Maserati Multi 70 trimaran in multiple competitions over the next few months.
The Multi 70 it is considered the “laboratory boat”, to which the engineers of the “Innovation Lab”, located in Modena, Italy, transferred their know-how in aerodynamics and performance.
The same values that, according to Maserati, guide its employees on a daily basis in the development of all the brand’s new models.
