Man dies after falling of MARTA platform on rails
MARTHA says service between Civic Center and Lindbergh Center station is suspended and the bus bridge is closed. in effect.
ATLANTA – The police are investigating death of Man hit by MARTA train on Tuesday morning in Midtown Atlanta.
According to official figures, around 7:40 a.m. the man fell. off platform leading southbound walkway to 10th Street Station in Midtown.
Investigators have not identified the victim. Crews are currently working to recover the victim’s body. body which got stuck under the train.
Incident caused service at Midtown station to shut down. MARTA officials say northbound traffic ends at Civic Center and southbound traffic ends at Lindbergh Center.
Bus transport provided for all customers from Civic Center to Lindbergh Center train stations.
