Man sentenced in Wales after confessing to poisoning neighbor’s cats | Wales

The man received a suspended sentence after he admitted that he poisoned the neighbor’s cats.

Pearson, 44 of Deal in south Wales pleaded guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to protected animals. He was ordered to do 150 hours of unpaid work and deprived of the right to keep all animals for five years – a ban he can’t challenge for at least four years. He was also ordered to pay £2,000 in expenses.

RSPCA Inspector Simon Evans, who examined the case, said: “These poor cats were deliberately tempted to digest an incredibly dangerous substance. for cats and eventually proved fatal both of them. Two meals found in there was a high concentration in the defendant’s garden of dangerous substance – and he confessed in court that he caused them to consume it, causing them to suffer needlessly.

“We hope that this shocking and historic event will clear message for anyone thinking of targeting cats in this is way “It’s wrong, illegal and unacceptable.”
