The police filed an urgent appeal for witnesses after collision in Northumberland, which has left man fighting for his life.
BUT collision with car and truck took place around 2:30 pm yesterday on A1 southbound near the A697 Longhorsley.
Emergency services were called to the scene and 60year- the old man was taken to the hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.

representative for Northumbria Police said: “Yesterday at 2:30pm (Monday) the police received a report. of a collision with car and truck in Northumberland on A1 southbound near the A697 Longhorsley exit off.
“Emergency services arrived at the scene. area and driver of in car60-year- the old man was admitted to the hospital with serious, potentially life-threatening injury.
“He remains in a critical conditionally at present.
BUT full a massive investigation has been launched, and officers are calling for any witnesses, especially those with DVR footage related to the incident – pending forward and talk to them.
The spokesman continued, “The investigation into the circumstances leading up to collision was started by officers from the Northumbria Police Vehicle Patrol Unit and close by of requests already blown away out.
“The officers are now asking for anyone with information or motorists who there may be footage from the dvr to get in touch.”
