WILTSHIRE Police Appeal to Supervisory Authority After Man’s Death in West Swindon in early hours of this morning.
Officers received 999 calls about problems for human welfare just after midnight on Thursday and went to Pitmoor to investigate.
Police and paramedics soon arrived at Stockbridge Cops but were unable to save the man’s life.
Previously, the man had experience with police, so force is currently referring to public body which the responsible for supervision of system for handling complaints made against police force in England.
A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said: “We were called to Stockbridge Cops, in Pitmoor, Swindon, shortly after midnight. on July 28 after the worry for welfare.
“Despite the efforts of policemen and paramedics, unfortunately, a man in his 40th birthday was announced dead on the stage.
“His death not seen as suspicious, and our thoughts with his family during this difficult time.
“Compulsory direction introduced made to Independent office for Police behavior due to previous contact with the police with that man.”
