LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) on Court hearing suspended on Thursday of registration of cases against Interior Minister Rana Sanaulla and others over police action against PTI workers during a party march to Islamabad, ARY News reports.
One bench of Supreme Court, composed of Judge Sarfaraz Doggar, on in plea of police suspended lower court decision and sent notices to the parties for them reply in in next hearing of a business.
Applicant Constable Muhammad Aslam stated in court that court hearings had issued orders for Registration of FIR against data of a business. He asked the court to invalidate the lower court’s ruling and void.
Lahore District and Court of Session on June 1st registration ordered of cases against Interior Minister Rana Sanaulla, DIG-Operations Lahore and CCPO over police action against PTI rallies during the party recently held an “Azadi March” towards Islamabad.
Lawyer Haider Majid has filed an application in Court of Session of Lahore applying for registration of FIR against interior minister and officers of the Punjab Police under sections 166(1), 352 and 427. of Pakistan Penal Code (CPC).
Extra Sessions Judge Mian Mudasar Oumar ordered registration of criminal cases against Rana Sanaulla, CCPO Lahore and DIG Operations under sections 166, 352 and 427.
May 25 in clash between Lahore police and PTI workers marching to Islamabad, police resorted to firing tear gas and batons in an attempt to disperse the PTI procession.
According to available data, government rounded up several PTI executives and employees in suppression.
According to the representative of Punjab police, three police officers also died in skirmishes and raids on Houses of FTI employees.
