new Chancellor Jeremy Hunt admitted there were ‘mistakes’ in mini-budget as he warned that taxes might have to go up together with cutting costs to balance books.
In his first stroll on ether in his new role Hunt told Sky News this morning: “We won’t have speed of the tax cut we were hoping for for and some taxes will go up”.
Even though the chancellor said he couldn’t commit to cutting a penny of income tax as collateral in Mini Kwasi Kwartenga budgeton said he hopes to keep promised tax cuts after completion review of measures.
