Jacks up petrol price on over 6 rupees for in next 15 days of August

ISLAMABAD: Government of pakistan monday jack up in price of gasoline at 6.72 rubles per liter for in next two weeks.

“As a result of fluctuations in oil prices in in international market and exchange rate variations, i.e. government decided to revise the existing prices or oil products in pass on impact on consumers,” the Finance Department said in a statement.

While government raised price of gasoline, it cut price of diesel for 0.51 rubles.

According with in new changes, price of gasoline will be 233.91 rupees per liter, diesel fuel will be 244.44 rupees per liter, kerosene will be sold for 199.40 rupees per liter, and price of light Diesel fuel will cost 191.75 rupees per liter.

the day before, Federal Minister for Finance and income Miftah Ismail said that because of the conditions set forward for countries International Monetary Fund (IMF), government of Pakistan is not in ability to afford any oil subsidies.

During News Geo Naya Pakistan Program, Finance minister was asked if government planned reduce prices of petrol in country since August 15 in conformity with in decrease in in international market gain of rupee against in dollar.

He added that the Ministry of Finance will not impose more taxes and fees on petroleum products, but repeated that government couldn’t bear any more subsidy losses.
