ITM: research and development is supported with about HUF 75 billion

The Thematic Program of Excellence has identified three research areas that are either of outstanding economic importance or have strong domestic capacities. These sub-programs are health, national research and national defense, national security. Tkp supports the implementation of research with HUF 25 billion per sub-program 2021. The framework also includes the HUF 1 billion envelope of the cooperative doctoral program in the case of the TKp national defense and national security sub-program, as a result of which the number of highly qualified employees with scientific knowledge can be increased in the field of defense research and development and innovation

An important expectation is the further strengthening of cooperation between higher education institutions and R&D and innovation actors, therefore the government supports initiatives that contribute to the social and economic utilization of knowledge generated in university knowledge centers and research sites, stressed Tamás Schanda.
