Today, Thursday, Palestinian television reported that Israeli forces had shot and killed three civilians in the Old City of Nablus in the West Bank.
The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed the death toll in the raid on the Old City of Nablus, adding that two of them “completely distorted their features as a result of the intensity of the shelling.”
It comes after clashes erupted in Nablus after Israeli forces stormed the city and an Israeli army spokesman said army forces were conducting an operation in the Old City.
Local sources said that three Palestinians were killed by “Israeli special forces”.
Eyewitnesses said the operation began after activists in the city discovered the presence of Israeli special forces in Palestinian civilian uniforms, which led to clashes between the two sides, after which dozens of Israeli army vehicles stormed the city.
According to eyewitnesses, explosions were heard in the city, as well as heavy gunfire in the Yasmina area in the Old City.
On the Israeli side, the Israeli Internal Security Service (Shin Bet) reported that Israeli forces killed two Palestinian militants who shot dead a British-Israeli woman and her two daughters in the occupied West Bank in April.
The Israeli Shin Bet added that a third militant who helped them was also killed in the raid.
