ISLAMABAD: PTI leader Shahbaz Gill, who was arrested on accusations of rebellion and incitement public against government agencies, was transferred over to the police on the two-day conclusion of the Islamabad court on Wednesday morning.
He appeared in court today, where the Islamabad police requested his physical arrest in order to return mobile phone and device which he used to make statements. Police added what they also should investigate on under whose instructions the program was aired.
After a short hearing, the court issued a verdict, which was announced later gave Islamabad police a two-day arrest of Shahbaz Gill.
The case was filed against PTI leader at Kohsar police station on on behalf of of state over his seditious comments on television show.
According to the details, the FIR was registered in the complaint of Magistrate Ghulam Murtaza Chandio under articles 34 (common intent), 109 (incitement), 120 (concealment design to commit punishable crime with imprisonment), 121 (waging war against state), 124-A (sedition), 131 (sedition or attempt to seduce a soldier, sailor or airman from his duty), 153 (provokes cause riot), 153-A (incitement of hostility between various factions), 505 (statement promoting public mischief) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of Criminal Code of Pakistan.
Gill was detained by Islamabad police. on Tuesday from Banigal Chowk, which caused a sharp reaction from the PTI management. who named arrest as “kidnapping”.
Speech at a press conference on On Tuesday, Interior Minister Ranaula said the comments were prepared under a script prepared under the supervision of of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, who was rescheduled forward on former information minister Fawad Chaudhry and Gill.
The conspiracy was aimed at creating splits between rows of public institution, interior minister said, adding that Gill was arrested on Account of charge of incitement under the law.
It became quite obvious that IK wanted to divide the nation by giving air to provocative statements, he said.
Gill denies the allegations
Gill talking to media forthcoming of of his speech in court, told reporters that he was not “ashamed” of statement that he made on in private TV channel.
“There was nothing in my statement that I should to be disgraced of [….] my comment was of a person who loves his armed forces,special assistant prime minister said.
PTI leader said he did not try to incite anyone and that he only pointed to these bureaucrats who were involved in “offences”.
