The man received stab wounds back and parties after the assault near the parade of shops in Ipswich.
The police were called at 20:55. on Monday announces that group of the men were seen running down Hawthorne Drive, one of who apparently carried a large knife.
After a search at 9:20 p.m., officers were notified that the man had been stabbed and in hospital receiving treatment.
The male in Stable condition, Suffolk police said.
The police think attack took place next to the parade of shops in Hawthorn Drive just until 20:55.
The police cordon remains in place outside near house on Tuesday morning.
Following the stabbing, a Section 60 order was issued giving the police additional powers of stop and search. for 24 hour period and will end at 22:45. on Tuesday.
As part of powers, officers will be allowed to stop and search without reasonable cause, but where there is risk of violence or persuasion, weapons are carried within area.
Police say no risk to a broader public but there is an increase risk of violence “between parties or directly involved or connected with Incident”.
