Invitech

With a broadband Internet connection, we can now access cloud solutions from anywhere, but if we take a closer look at the characteristics of an international and a domestic cloud service, we can discover characteristic differences. Invitech has been providing cloud services since 2008, the use of which has been growing exponentially, it has been a turning point for 5-6 years, when many companies have realized that IT outsourcing is worth it in more and more areas, both financially and professionally. And this pandemic has only intensified this already accelerating process. Incidentally, experts suggest that anyone who wants to go to the cloud should definitely develop a cloud strategy. To do this, it is advisable to examine all the IT components of the company (for example, correspondence, communication, bank terminal, etc.) individually to see if the given function can be triggered in the cloud.

In addition, it is important to calculate that there are fundamental differences in services between a domestic and an international service provider, which can be seen in many areas. Solutions from international service providers usually require a high degree of adaptability and compromise from those who want to move there. Therefore, it may not be logical for all companies to use the services of a foreign company. Moreover, there are companies that prefer to move away from the international cloud – Invitech, for example, moves 2-3 companies a year to its own domestic cloud. In general, infrastructures that can be scaled vertically, ie by expanding the processor, memory, storage space – server, operating system and software installed on it – cannot be installed one by one in an international cloud because it is not worth it. Global players provide SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) type services, where we can click together on what we need, building horizontally from elementary, small building blocks, of course there is a company that is suitable for this as well. Faster access, on the other hand, is clearly in favor of a domestic cloud. Data connectivity is also a key issue: the big ones don’t have a warehouse here and their data centers are far away. Typically, they are tried to be reached, in a chain, through several service providers, but a direct connection over a certain traffic would already be good, which in turn would have a significant cost for the service provider.

At the same time, legal restrictions and regulations are very important. when we think of data and information security. In public (international) cloud services, the exact location and route of stored and processed data cannot be determined. Many nation states and the European Union itself also seek to protect data assets and their responsible management through regulation. Sometimes a parent company expectation or legal constraint is that the data must be kept at home. The MNB’s strict recommendation to financial institutions, for example, even allows the use of an international cloud, but only on condition that a rollback plan exists. But the truth is that international clouds are not strong in this area. Most global service providers do not have algorithms to migrate back from the cloud, or if they do, we cannot use the data that can be backed up in its previous form because online software has no terrestrial counterpart. In other words, the international public cloud is often a one-way street.

Many experts believe that sooner or later every company will develop what kind of IT environment is ideal. There will be services that prohibit cloud access (such as a production line), others will have an international, public cloud, and there will also be subsystems in the domestic cloud because it is a much faster and more flexible solution, if only because it is located in the same country . It follows that local service companies need to be best prepared for this triple, hybrid model and interoperability between solutions in the near future, but rather today.
