Residents of North East Lincolnshire will receive a council tax rebate in the coming days.

On their website says: “As part of of in governmentinitiative help households with rising electricity costs, there will be a £150 council tax rebate on energy for households in strip properties from A to D. If you do not know which group is yours property is in you can find it on your latest Council tax bill or check on GOV.UK – Council Tax Groups – external site.
“If you are eligible and we have your bank details (because you are paying by direct debit), we will pay money in to your bank account during May 2022. We will begin processing these payments since May 2, but please contact only us about non-payment if you still have not received yours by the end of May.
“If you have the right, and we do not have your bank details (because you are not paying by direct debit) an email will be sent at the end of May 2022 explaining what to do.” Some councils across the country have warned residents that they may not receive their payments until September. with delays caused change of payment systems.
