Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi offers condolences on death of Bilquis Bano Edhi – wife of famous humanist and philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi.
Going to Twitter, Indian prime minister said: “My sincere condolences on passage of Bilquis Edhi. Her lifelong devotion to the humanitarian work touched lives of people all over the world.”
Speaking of her dedicated and humane work, Prime Minister Modi said that people in India remembers her fondly.
“May her soul rest in peace in peace,” he wrote.
Bilquis Edhi is buried in Karachi
Earlier today, Bilqis Edhi was buried at the Mewa Shah Cemetery. in Karachi after the Zuhr prayer.
Bilqis’ funeral prayers were offered at the New Memon Masjid Haradar shortly before her burial.
Expressing your grief over sad death of his mother Faisal Edhi said he left alone, adding that her mother gave him courage death of his father.
He paid tribute Bilquis Edhi and said that she was in charge of all operations of Edhi Foundation.
