viral video of Texas student strangulation of an American peer of Indian descent sparked a petition against aggressor.
In a video shared online, Shaan Pritmani is attacked and strangled by a white man student in Cafeteria of Coppell High School in Texas on May 11th.
Video begins with the aggressor strangles Shaan with his right hand before demanding that he get up up from your seat.

Shaana parents the school was contacted and informed that their son was involved in argument with Another student. Apparently at school found Shaan is to blame. He received a 3 day in- Suspension from school as a punishment, and the aggressor only received one day.
When it parents requested for revaluation using viral video as proof, the school said they wouldn’t changes made. The school resource officer refused to file an application because the school allegedly requested that the incident not be documented because already there were many complaints of bullying.
“Coppell ISD knows of video circulating on social media shows an incident at Coppell High School in the north involving a physical altercation between two students.” — Coppell Principal Dr. Brad Hunt. wrote in email. “Intimidation, both verbal and physical, as well as physical actions of aggression is never acceptable and never agreed with who we are at CISD and our core values.”
Sonic Kukreya, Shaan mother started petition on Change.org for information dissemination and call on school to take more action against her sonaggressor. Since then, the petition has garnered nearly 244,000 signatures. of This writing. This will become one of most popular petitions on Change.org if it reaches 300,000 signatures.
“Because of the absence of support from Koppell’s ISD and Koppell Police, in order to properly handle this attack, we require that the aggressor be removed from my son to school immediately,” Kukreya wrote. “Shaan should never need to take lessons, interact or pass corridors with this aggressor ever again. Shaan should be able to continue their school experience friendships and extracurricular activities with zero worry of ever had to cross paths with This student again. He doesn’t feel safe.”
“Our goal is to draw attention to bullying and attacks problem in schools are everywhere,” she said. added. “All children deserve safety at school. Serious consequences need be in place for all the violence against our children. This type of aggression must stop!”
Shaana parents reportedly sought legal representation pending an opinion of internal investigation of the school.
