ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Sohail Mahmoud on Tuesday called for messengers of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for holding India accountable for infringement of rights of its religious minorities, especially Muslims.

“India must be held accountable for infringement of rights of its religious minorities, especially the Muslim population, which is a victim of hate speech, harassment, and state-sponsored violence,” Secretary of State Mahmoud said. in meeting with envoys.

The envoys were called to the Foreign Office to instruct them. on developments concerning highly derogatory remarks by two senior officials of ruling of india party Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) against Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
