LAHORE: PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday raised questions over what he called an “unprecedented press conference” by the Directorate General of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lieutenant General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum and Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Babar Iftikhar argue whether the institutions were apolitical, what was the purpose of holding a “political press”.
In an interview a private TV channel, former the premier said the press conference was “unprecedented” and “never heard of of”.
“Either there should be some issue as for them, like security, but they held a political press conference, so I don’t understand the point behind It. Can defense or interior minister or prime minister didn’t do the job? What was their [the institutions’] Work in hold a press conference?” Imran Khan objected.
Then the PTI chief went on to say that if he starts answering questions from officials, “this cause a lot of of damage to the country and the institution, and he does not want inflict damage on the Pakistani army.”
“Ever since I was removed from office i tried mine best to prevent any harm to the country and the Pakistani army. I know that if I say anything about the establishment, it will affect the army,” he said.
But when they hold a press conference like this is […] and if i start answering […] So be it directly damage our army and I don’t want hurt them in Any way. That is why I always try to make my criticism constructive and useful for the institution,” said Imran.
He went on to say that he was critical of Dirty Harry. who according to him recently posted in Islamabad – for torture applied on Azam Swati and Shahbaz Gill.
“Our efforts are to criticize them. These actions that you do who hurts? The country is hurting and what is happening because of these actions?
Speaking of “behind-the-scenes talks”, Imran said that before no-confidence vote he was aware of prepared a “conspiracy” to overthrow him government.
“I said very publicly again as well as again that I told General Bajwa that if at this time this plot succeeds, it will have a direct impact and losses on economy.
“I warned and said that there were negotiations of extension here. I told him that if they offer you [an extension]then we can do the same,” Imran said.
“To say that I made deals in closed rooms […] what will i get from the deal? i said do it for Pakistan. But they didn’t stop the plot, and look what happened.”
Development on “deal”, Imran said that the meeting took pace at the President’s House. “As well as in It, one the case was said […] what I have said publicly times […] what other than for there is no other choice way”.
Speaking of murder of journalist Arshad Sharif, Imran said that everyone knew that “the attempts were made make him shut up.”

“Arshad Sharif truth will never be hidden. He sent a letter to the Islamabad Supreme Court and President Arif Alvi saying that his life in danger. He told me the same thing and I advised him to leave the country. But he was so bold that want go,” said the head of the PTI. added.
At yesterday’s press conference of PTI leader Faisal Wavda, Imran said he saw a lot of loved ones people in his life changes and show different side during testing times.
“I was very saddened by what he did and I did not expect it. That was done on request. I know on at whose request this was done – at the request of dirty Harry.

Previously in day PTI leader Asad Umar said that his party boss never made any unconstitutional claims in “back door talks.

“If you see him as a traitor, then why are you meeting him through back Door? […] Don’t do it where you meet quietly at night through back door and express your unconstitutional wishes, but call [the army chief] traitor in Dawn. it big the contradiction between your words and your actions,” he said.
Lieutenant General Anjum also made revelation that in March, boss of Qamar Army General Staff Jawed Bajwa Receives ‘Best Offer’ for extension in his tenure. “It was made in front of to me. First of in media today, PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi said two press conferences were held in in last several hours and both had “further complicated has the meaning”.
“We think, new pandora box was open,” he said, pointing out that a prominent thread in A press conference hosted by the military’s top leadership today was that the institutions had decided to remain apolitical.
“It’s always been ours wish […] According to the Constitution, each institution has role and if each institution remains and works within its role then it will be easier and there will be no difficulty.”
Speaking of Wavda, Qureshi said that all of PTI rallies in in past was peaceful. “During our caravan on May 25 government used violence on us and we couldn’t even fully defend ourselves.
“Our policy very clear that our march is peaceful and will be within of law and will respect constitutional needs”, former minister claimed.
Qureshi said that his press was an attempt to spread fear among people. “Right after announcement of march we got information what people were full of enthusiasm and started preparing for It.

Chaudhry went on what military heads demand regarding the investigation in the cipher that Imran touted as evidence of foreign conspiracy to overthrow him government was fair, adding that PTI had demanded an investigation since first day.

Meanwhile, former human rights minister Shirin Mazari said she was “very saddened” by the DG ISPR press conference and called it a completely “untruthful statement”.
She asked how The ISPR DG concluded that Arshad Sharif was not in danger, given that he was “brutally murdered” in the end.
Mazari said that Sharif told her that he was being followed by assassins and there was a reward for that. on his head.
She said Sharif was from military family and made a lot of programs myself in cooperation with army. “What respect did you give show [to him?] You made him a martyr and the one who committed this cruel crime became a target murder the same as those who threatened him, and now our institutions say that there was no threat,” she said.
Mazar added that the judicial commission should be formed to investigate the Sharif affair killing but also lamented that such commissions in in past or did not produce results or their finds are lost.
