ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday ordered government not “harass” Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan during the Eidul-Fitr holidays.
IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farouk issued an order on the petition filed former prime minister stop him arrest during the Eid holidays and search for details of cases against to him.
During the hearing of case, lawyer Faisal Chaudhry appeared in court on on behalf of of ousted prime minister and said that Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) head Sirajul Haq had come to Zaman Park and made “good effort” to convince Imran for negotiation with Decree coalition.
“However next morning, partypresident of Sindh [Ali Zaidi] was kidnapped”, Chaudhry added. To this, the head of the VVK justice noticed that “a bad the taste seems to be born out of this incident.”
The lawyer for the head of PTI then told the court that party management is “afraid that they [the government] I will have another operation. in Zaman Park during five holidays of Id. “I can ask for details of cases, but how may I give empty order? Judge Farouk asked.
Subsequently, the CJ IHC ordered government do not disturb the ex-premier during the Eid al-Adha holidays and sent notices to the federation, the police and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), asking for details of cases against Imran.
