hundreds of weapons from Georgia show up on streets of Philadelphia, A.T.F. says

hundreds of weapons bought in Georgia was captured in Pennsylvania in main gun bust of human trafficking. FAT agents say there are now five Georgians face accusations.

“The firearms trade is a movement of firearms from the legal to the illegal market,” said ATF agent Matthew Varisco.

The federal authorities are talking about buying about 300 weapons. in 2 dozen sporting goods stores and gun shows through Georgia were transported to Philadelphia for sale on streets.

“Firearms illegally brought into Philadelphia. made available on in black market to people who can’t legally purchase weapons,” said Jennifer Arbittier Williams, U.S. Attorney. with Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

ATF agents say Atlanta rapper Frederick Norman, aka Slowkey Fred, personally bought a lot of those guns. They say it worked with Brianna Walker also from Atlanta and 3 men from Villa Rica, Charles O’Bannon, Stephen Norman and Devin Church. These 5 along with 6 others from Philadelphia, who agents say they were part of of operation, sold arms on in black market for more than 100 thousand dollars.

“They are know they can land big benefit for by selling these guns they acquired on streets of Philadelphia,” Agent Robert Cucinotta said.

Authorities say buyers either cannot purchase a gun legally or perhaps trying to hide something.

“This is good way to mask the suspicions around you if you get these firearms from out of state,” Agent Cucinotta said.

While many of weapons seized, dozens missing for but agents say this bust sends a signal.

“That’s what we do as an agency and we’re always looking at these types of crimes. Maybe it will be a deterrent for other who try to make some money money in this fashion,” Cucinotta’s agent said.

Those five Georgians face accusations of Conspiracy to sell firearms without a license.
