Harry Potter: Magic Awaked mobile game raises $228 million

The game launched in September in China and a handful of other Asian countries, where it is currently the second highest-grossing Harry Potter mobile game. Jam City’s Hogwarts Mystery grossed $342 million, although Magic Awaked is expected to catch up to the title. A total of $743 million has been earned from Harry Potter mobile games to date.

This week, Pokémon Go developer Niantic announced that Wizards Unite, which is based on a similar concept, will go offline on January 31. Despite this, the game grossed $39 million.
