At least four people were killed and two others wounded when house exploded on Thursday evening in area about 40 miles north of Philadelphia, authorities said.
Police and fire officials in Pottstown, Pennsylvania were sent to the scene just after 8:00 pm Justin M. Keller, local official, told reporters during news conference. They are found “Several victims are in need of medical attention,” he said.
In addition to the four confirmed deaths, two people were hospitalized, two more may be missing forMr Keller said. An investigation was conducted, he added, and several agencies, including the Pennsylvania State Police and the Red Cross, sent personnel to the site late Thursday evening.
Information about cause of explosion and personality of there were no dead or wounded available as of early Friday. Contact with the Pottstown Police Department failed. for comment.
Stephen J. Rodriguez, Superintendent of Pottstown School District, said in message for parents on Thursday night classes will be canceled on Friday because of explosion.
