big politician and former foreign minister Sardar Asif Ahmad Ali passes away after a long illness in Lahore aged of 82 on Thursday evening Geo News reported with reference to family sources.

His funeral prayer will be performed tomorrow at 2:00 pm. family sources confirmed.

veteran the politician belonged to the Punjab district of Kasur, which was also his constituency. According to him family sources, Sardar Asif Ahmad Ali refused politics because of illness.

Asif Ahmad Ali was elected like a member of National Assembly four times from 1985 to 2008. He served in Pakistan as a foreign minister from 1993 to 96 during the ex-prime minister Benazir Bhutto rule.

In 2008, Asif Ahmad Ali was appointed Vice Chairman. of planning. Then in 2011, he left PPP and joined PTI however he left PTI too in 2013 over reservations. In 2017 he returned to PTI. again naming PTI Chairman Imran Khan last hope’ for Pakistan.

Former foreigner minister was born in 1940 and received his primary education at Lawrence College in Mount Gali.

Behind higher studies, he entered Government College Lahore and St. John’s College, Oxford.
