ISLAMABAD:
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Leader Fawad Chaudhry on On Sunday questioned the subpoena of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), received party leaders, saying they don’t in power in period of time when they allegedly received prohibited funding.
Speaking at a press conference today, former federal information minister asked “in what capacity party members called by the FIA.” According to Chaudhry, those called were not public office holders in 2011-12.

PTI leader also spoke about the recent verdict of the election commission of Pakistan (ECP), claiming that PTI provided details of all accounts.
Chaudhry said that the annual audit should also be conducted of all political parties, but expressed his disappointment that the election observation body had become a “subsidiary of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).”

“The explanation they gave was that one party funded by another. But under EKP rules, no political party can finance another party. PPP showed its costs, but did not disclose where money spent,” he said.
He also raised questions about why the PPP and PML-N were “protected” by the KEK, asking them to give their verdict. in these cases too.

Touch on subject of former prime minister Disqualification of Imran Khan, Chaudhry said, “Who has the guts to disqualify Imran? You do not call elections because you are afraid that he win by a two-thirds majority.”
He also noticed on recent adoption of resignations of PTI legislators, stating current the speaker had no right to receive them in the way he did.
