Fact Check: Metro bus station next to D-Chowk in Islamabad was NOT set on fire during the Azadi PTI march – Pakistan

As PTI workers climbed police obstacles during heavy shelling on Wednesday night to get to D-Chowk in Islamabad on call of their leader is Imran Khan, social media was flooded with minute-by-minute updates of live action, but also with some misinformation.

Upon further investigation, it was found what object on fire in the video was not a subway station, but a tree located in green belt behind Parade ground.

Videos shared by the trio of journalists retweeted hundreds of users while they lapped up in information approaches their way, suggesting that his veracity was not in doubt.

In fact, the footage shared by Hussain was collected more over 3500 retweets.

Dawn.com also purchased footage on site today, which showed that the metro bus station was not only standing in once a piece, but was completely intact, contrary to what was said in signatures of video shared on Twitter.
